Apart from all its naturalistic beauty, there are also a variety of archaeological and historical sites as well as impressive landscapes and typical local traditional handicrafts. The most interesting settlements are those dating back to medieval times such as Borzonasca, Rezzoaglio and S.Stefano d'Aveto. The peaceful little village of Cabanne is situated along the same route and is crossed by the clear waters of the Aveto river.
